JADE Lab

Sustainability Consulting Logo and flyer Development

This Graphic Design project was crafted with the goal to advertise an Equity consulting firm, JADE LAB, with its company mission, offered services, and contact information.

The intention of these graphics was to be simplistic, informative, and gently eye catching. The user group is also inclusive of all vision types, so typography and color palettes were chosen accordingly.

The Process

The typography of the logo and material started with an array of type concepts and stylistic implications. After user research, certain serif fonts were identified as difficult to dintinguish, as well as variations in capital lettering, lowercase, and a combination of text with numbers.

The middle image reflects the final options for the company style and font choices.

the six color palette options on the bottom left represent company preferences and red-green, blue-yellow, and total color blindness readability. THe logo iterations in the bottom middle showcase a combination of inclusive typography, color differentiation, and company style options.

Color combinations and boldness can vary depending on the type of information being communicated.

Design Sprint

RECONSTRUCTIon

The following UX design project was designed for the K-12 education system, Reconstruction, that inspires Black students to achieve academic success by learning from historical Black figures and their influence on various parts of Black culture.

This project was curated in a 6 week sprint structure with a team of two other students, and myself.

This project needed to be engaging for k-12th grade students, with a specific focus on the 6th grade. initial research looked at competing secondary education companies, their branding tactics, and how their reward systems functioned.

Notes on developing design ideas were taken and engaging growth visuals for various ages were brainstormed, as well as, annotations on the current system being used. these research findings and observations were the basis for the user experience recommendations built into the product.
